Lionheart: Dark Moon

Overview

Lionheart: Dark Moon is a Mobile RPG developed by Emerald City Games, available on iOS and Android. Players embark on a story-driven journey as Timothy and Natalia, grandchildren of the fallen Vaultkeeper, collecting Keys to free legendary heroes and push back the encroaching Darkness.

The game features 100+ collectable 3D heroes spanning diverse races including elves, mages, centaurs, and beasts, each with unique abilities, skills, and upgrade paths. Combat is turn-based 4v4, with friendship combos, elemental abilities, and pets that assist in battle. Outside of combat, players complete daily quests, build their collection, and compete in weekly Arena tournaments for ranked rewards.

My Responsabilities

My scope covered QA, KPI analysis, and Live-Ops planning for the relaunch of a title that had been without active support for a couple of years.

  • Conducted exploratory QA across FTUE, combat systems, and live data infrastructure, validating that core game systems and KPI tracking were functioning correctly ahead of the relaunch

  • Tracked and reported on 20+ KPIs including D1/D3/D7 retention, DAU across iOS and Google Play, conversion rate, event participation rate, and revenue, producing daily and weekly reports based on metric urgency

  • Co-authored a 30-day relaunch roadmap consolidating the marketing plan, event schedule, KPI targets, and short and long-term relaunch objectives into a single reference document for the team

  • Mapped and documented 6+ live event types by cross-referencing the game wiki, historical data spreadsheets, and live roadmap files, establishing a structured event rotation plan for the relaunch period

  • Defined weekly Decision Gates to review relaunch performance against success metrics and adjust the following week’s plan based on real data
